Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Tuesday suspended the planned opening of worship centers in the State due to the continue rise in the number of coronavirus cases in the State.
This new development should be applauded by all Lagosians as this has to do with the safety of worshippers in Churches and Mosques.
As it is today, many worship centers are not fully prepared to open for worship as many of them have not met the criteria and requirements to reopen.
So before we blame the Lagos State Government, we should look at safety first policy that the authority are seen in order to protect us all from this demonic pandemic.
So as the government of the State has suspended religious gathering in Lagos, we should see it AS GOOD NEWS TO US ALL, and not a bad news. So, for those who may feel disappointed about this decision, I think we should focus on safety and not on other things.
We should rather intensify our energy to pray for the government and for the pandemic to disappear from the country and the world.
As people of faith, God has commanded us to continue to pray for the people in authority so as to have peace in the country. So, one thing we need to be doing today is not to complain, but to pray.
