Legendary Reggae Musician Majek Fashek died in New York

Legendary reggae musician, Majekodunmi Fashake professionally known as Majek Fashek is reportedly dead.

This was reported on social media by an American-Nigerian serial entrepreneur and consulrant, Joy Tongo who disclosed the singer died in New York.

She wrote: Legendary Musician, Majek Fashek has passed on today in New York City. Majek is from Benin City in Edo state.

Recall that in late 2019, Majek was admitted into a hospital after he reportedly collapse when he fell short of breath.

Nigerians rose up to his aid by providing monetary funds for his operation in the United Kingdom and has been reported to be fit since then.

Majek Fashek is a singer, songwriter and guitarist. He is popularly known for his album, Prisoner of Conscience and his multiple award winning single, Send Down the Rain.

Majek Fashek during his time was a household name. He did this by warming his ways to the hearts of the Nigerian parents through his song.
