AN AWESOME INTERACTION WITH YOUNG AYODELE.
Sharing is view and encouraging younger Musicians out there.
Q. Can we meet you?
Your name?
Your occupation?
Marital Status?
Young:- My name is Young Ayodele
I’m music producer, sound designer and a data analyst.
And I am single.
And I lead a music solution enterprise by the Clef Music Solutions. We are geared towards helping emerging and emerged recording artists and creatives manage the business side of their craft. Our services include recording, mixing and mastering, recording project management and music publishing.
Q. what age did you start music and how did you go about it?
Young:- I started learning how to play the piano at the age of 17 but before then I had learned how to play the drums and bass guitar but the keyboard appeals to me more. And I took my first piano lessons from a classmates by the name Christopher who then lived at Okota and I lived at Oshodi so I do go to his church on weekends to learn but I never met him in church until about the fifth time and he was able to show me some basics enough for me to build on. I then took further steps reading and talking to people and I was directed to Smallwood pianoforte where I learned a lot including how to read a music piece.
Q. How did you manage the disappointments and rejections in Music while starting?
Young:- Wow
First point to note the disappointments and rejections are always very embarrassing I mean very embarrassing.
And I know quite a number of guys that we started together but backed out because there’s this someone that always don’t want to see them on the instrument or always mock them like “what is this one playing?”. But truthfully I didn’t know what I was doing then to manage the rejections but I remember that I practiced a lot and not in isolation I practiced with people, with other instrumentalists in my church we score songs and instrumentals together and majorly that was what improved my music appreciation.
And I read, I read a lot of music theory books.
Q. What is Music to you? And how do you see music as a career?
Young:- To me Music is an art, it’s an expression and it comes from our hearts.
And as a career it’s a very wide field that one can easily get lost in the mix. So in my opinion we need to take a seat and map out a career path that best suits our love and interest. And we must have milestones and timeline to climbing whatever career path we have mapped out for ourselves.
Q. How do you intend to raise young talented ones who has the same passion as you do?
Young:- Amazing question.
If you ask anyone that knows me well they will tell you that my door is always open and I am always ready to share the little I know. And I am passionate mostly about these younger ones being heard by a deserving audience. And that’s one of the reasons we started Clef Music Solutions.
Q:- How can one be a creative Musician and make a meaning to the world and also how can how we be successful as a young Musician?
Young:- Three words:
Consistent Practice: practice everyday. It’s better to practice 30mins everyday than a 4 hours stretch practice once a week or once in 2weeks. It is the consistency in practice that grows and improve your craft.
Collaboration: because as humans we are hard wired to relate with one another and thrive on relationship it is therefore important for creatives to also learn the act thriving on relationship and knowledge sharing.
Creation: Also as we learn and grow our craft we must constantly create, that’s one of the ways we put our knowledge to use. If you sing, wrote songs. If you okay an instrument, write tunes, create harmonies.
write songs and play an instrument.
Q- What advice do you have for young Musicians growing their career? Any words for musicians out there?
Young:- I’ll just answer both together.
Evolve
That’s the word I have for all of us including myself.
Aside learning the basics of music which very important. We must evolve and stay at the top of our game. The way music sounds in 2010 is different from what we have now. So as the world evolve and music changes in richness we must also evolve but not lose our uniqueness.

Young:- @ebunclef on all social media platforms
