Landlords in Lagos Should Take Note of This Vital Information From Lagos State Government.

Lagos State Government under the leadership of Governor Babajide Sanwo Olu has urged property owners in the state to comply with a master plan or face statutory enforcement.

The warning is particularly directed to the landlords, landladies, and developers in Lekki, Ajah, and Eti Osa areas on the state.

This was disclosed on Thursday morning by Lagos State Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Dr. Idris Salako, at a stakeholder meeting with property owners and developers in the Lekki axis of Lagos State.

The commissioner said landlords and developers in the state must ensure voluntary compliance on the Master Plan of the megacity.

He explained that it was by doing so that the sanctity of the Revised Ikoyi/Victoria Island Model City Plan and LEKKI Comprehensive Master Plan could be guaranteed, being the Operative Development Plan covering the area.

He added that the deliberate contravention of the Approval Order, Extant Law and Regulations must stop because the government will no longer tolerate illegal development to continue unabated.

The Commissioner reiterated that the observed underhand deals in respect of building construction include non-adherence to Planning Permit; deliberate falsehood in the Design Drawings and construction of buildings after submission, prior to the grant of Planning Permit.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Urban Development in his remarks added that the role of the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development was to ensure adherence to planning and bring about orderliness and sustainability in the built environment.

Good news to all Ogun Students as they will be skipping third term with an assured promotion to next class.

The Ogun State Government had earlier given a directive to shut all schools, following the breakout of Coronavirus pandemic in Nigeria. This is to curtail the spread of the global pandemic, as all schools in the country were closed down. However, some states had started releasing new resumption date for schools while some had started organising lectures for terminal class. Governor Dapo Abiodun had also ordered pupils and students in terminal classes in both public and private schools to resume lectures on August 4 in preparation for their various examinations. He, however, stated that with the exception of students in the exit classes “all students in our schools will enjoy automatic promotion to the next class". This is good news for Ogun Students as they will be skipping third term with an assured promotion to next class. The State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun announced this while updating newsmen on the efforts of his administration to combat the pandemic in the state. He als...
